Officials Needed
Hello Swim Families!
We just wanted to remind parents that we are still in need of Officials for this season. We are hoping for 5-6 officials so no one will be expected to work every weekend. If you are interested in helping, the first step is to get signed up for the last Stroke and Turn Official class offered April 4, 2023. They are available in Zoom format, but you must request an RSVP by sending email to: alex.ongaco @snswimming.org
The next step is registering as a USA Swimming Non Athlete Member, which requires a 90 minute class and a background check. The final step is to complete 6 poolside training sessions. Once all of this has been completed, you will be a fully carded official! This is what we need for our kids to get awarded at Invitationals. We know this is a big ask, but this is how it works. To sweeten the deal, the Board is offering the following incentives:
1. Waive $100 family fee 2. Provide Official polo shirt 3. $40 gas stipend/week when officialing 4. Up to $200 hotel reimbursement for overnight at Gridley, Weaverville, Quincy, and/or Redding when officially these events
